Plastic drums can be difficult to shred as in dual shaft machines they are difficult for the cutters to grab and hold due to the memory in the plastic material.  For small 20 litre drums this may not be a problem but for large 200 litre drums the ability of the shredder to grab the drum is critical.

Our AZ50HD dual shaft or QS15WL quad shaft units are excellent choices for smaller drums.  For 200L drums, our QS50HD or an AZ50HD fitted with a ram hopper are the preferred options.  Typical cutter widths are 31mm, 47mm, and 62mm.
